ShapeShift Delivers Bitcoin SV Following Binance, Kraken Surveys Users
The service for the quick exchange of cryptocurrencies ShapeShift, although it has lost a significant share of its popularity after the introduction of forced user verification last year, does not stop taking part in the life of the industry.
ShapeShift CEO Eric Voorhees said on Twitter that his company supports the Binance exchange, which this Monday announced the upcoming delisting of the Bitcoin SV cryptocurrency as a result of a confrontation with its main proponent Craig Wright.
“We share the spirit of Binance and CZ. We decided to delist Bitcoin SV within 48 hours, ”Voorhees wrote..
The Kraken cryptocurrency exchange went the other way and decided to conduct a survey of users regarding their further actions.
It is worth noting that Kraken has a special relationship with Bitcoin SV. The exchange listed the Bitcoin Cash fork in November, while issuing a massive warning to users. “Bitcoin SV does not meet the standard Kraken listing criteria. It should be viewed as an extremely high risk investment. There are many alarming signals that traders should look out for, ”said Kraken and provided a detailed list of these“ signals ”.
Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss reminded in connection with recent events: “Gemini did not initially list BSV.”.

Bitcoin SV, amid joining the boycott of several exchanges, continued its decline, started simultaneously with the announcement of Binance.
UPD: The blockchain.com wallet also announced the end of support for Bitcoin SV. “In the next 30 days, we will stop even limited support for BSV transactions. To use BSV, go elsewhere, ”wrote company founder Peter Smith.
